Information we collect
The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.
If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
When you register for an Account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our website.
- Improve, personalize, and expand our website.
- Understand and analyze how you use our website.
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
- Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website, and for marketing and promotional purposes

AI-powered features
Our Shopify app ANG Extra menu includes two optional features that rely on a third-party AI provider: an assistant that changes the menu you have open — one item, several items, or the menu’s overall appearance — from a written request, and a tool that reads a screenshot of a menu and proposes a menu structure from it. Both features run only when you actively use them — nothing is sent to the AI provider in the background, and nothing is sent while you simply browse or edit your menus normally.
When you use one of these features, we send the following to our AI provider:
- The text you type into the assistant.
- The current settings of the menu item you have open — limited to the settings that are relevant to what you asked for — together with that item’s own label, which is text already shown publicly in your storefront navigation.
- An outline of the menu you have open, so the assistant can tell which item you mean: the label of each item, how the items nest, and what kind of item each one is. Those labels are text already shown publicly in your storefront navigation.
- For “create a menu from an image”: the image file you upload, plus the optional one-line hint you may add to it.
We do not send:
- Your shop domain, your account details or your contact information.
- Any personal data about your customers, and any order, checkout or payment data. Our app does not request access to that data from Shopify at all.
- The contents of your other menus. From the menu you do have open we send labels and structure only — never the links your items point to, the images they show, or any rich-text content inside them.
What we store
We do not store the text of your requests, and we do not store the images you upload. An uploaded image is held in memory only for as long as it takes to answer that one request, and is never written to our file storage. We do keep usage records — which shop made the request, which feature was used, the model name, token counts, response time, and whether it succeeded or failed — so that we can monitor cost and investigate faults. Those records contain no request text and no image.
Our AI provider
The AI provider we use is OpenAI. Data sent to them through their API is handled under their own policies, which you can read at https://openai.com/policies/. If we ever change AI providers, we will update this policy.
Your control over these features
The AI features are available on our VIP plan and are always optional — the app is fully usable without ever opening them. Anything the AI proposes is applied to your editor as a preview only: nothing is written to your live menu until you review it and click Save yourself. If you would prefer these features to be unavailable on your store entirely, contact us and we will disable them for your shop.
Log Files
Nx8Apps follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, Nx8Apps uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Nx8Apps, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.
Note that Nx8Apps has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
